Birth, School, Work, Death

Let’s just say that references are not my favorite thing to do. They’re not difficult; they’re just boring and monotonous, while at the same time not mechanical enough to do without thought. But it really doesn’t help that the references are for a training course on emergency services’ response to active shooter events. I’m verifying these references, which means that I’m following links to check that the information given in the citation is correct. I go back and forth on how I feel about doing this kind of work, but on days like today, I feel less like I’m supporting militarized police work and more like I’m helping prepare the world for the horrors to come.
